ABOUT IFAM
INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas - IFAM, 110 years old, is located in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon Forest. Manaus, Amazonas Capital, shelters the Rectory headquarters and 03 campuses which are located in the Manaus Free Zone Pole, the 2nd. Electrical and Electronic Industrial Pole in Latin America. The other 14 campuses are in the interior of the state.
The IFAM is an institution of higher, basic, vocational education, with a pluricurricular multicampi structure. It has administrative and pedagogical autonomy and is part of the federal network of professional and technological education of the Brazilian Ministry of Education.

- 1937 – Manaus Industrial School
- 1942 – Manaus Technical School
- 1965 – Amazonas Federal Technical School
- 1940 - Manaus Federal Agrotechnical School
- 1993 - São Gabriel da Cachoeira Federal Agrotechnical School
- 2001 - Federal Center of Technological Education in Amazonas- CEFET-AM
- 2008 - Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Amazonas - IFAM.
